Theben LUXA 103 presence detectors for 230 V and KNX are the versatile device family for efficient lighting and HVAC control in indoor and outdoor areas. The devices with a round detection area are ideal for use in individual and open-plan offices, meeting rooms, storerooms and cellars as well as toilets. Special presence detectors for corridors and hallways have a rectangular detection area. All devices can be set via app and remote control and are particularly easy to install. The surface-mounted devices in black, white or grey blend in with any room design.

Open-plan office
Thanks to the integrated push-button input and the option of parallel connection with other LUXA 103 devices, you enjoy maximum flexibility. This means that the presence detectors are also suitable for larger office spaces.
Individual offices
For energy-saving lighting control that reliably switches off the light when leaving the office (e.g. meetings). In addition to energy savings, the presence detectors in the LUXA 103 series offer a high level of reliability for users.
Staircase
With the pulse function of the 230 V version, the presence detectors can be installed in existing electrical installations with staircase lighting timers without expensive modifications.
Changing room
A high protection class is required for safe, presence-dependent lighting control in changing rooms with showers. In these rooms, there is a risk that presence detectors could be exposed to splashing water. The entire LUXA 103 series has an IP54 protection rating for use in damp rooms and outdoors.
Hallways and corridors
LUXA 103 corridor presence detectors with rectangular detection area are available as surface-mounted devices and as devices for ceiling/flush-mounted installation.
Toilets
For interior rooms, we recommend using the presence channel (HKL) for ventilation control.
Presence Detectors for KNX
LUXA 103 presence detectors are available in various versions for KNX systems, offering a wide range of options for different applications. The LUXA 103 S360-12 KNX features a circular detection area (360°, Ø 12 m at a mounting height of 3 m), while the LUXA 103 S360-28 KNX has been specifically designed for corridors, hallways, and passageways with its rectangular detection area (360°, 28 x 5 m at a mounting height of 3 m).
New to the series are the two ceiling-mounted versions. The LUXA 103 S360-12 KNX DE offers a circular detection area (360°, Ø 12 m at a mounting height of 3 m), while the LUXA 103 S360-28 KNX DE is optimized for use in corridors, hallways, and passageways with its rectangular detection area (360°, 28 x 5 m at a mounting height of 3 m).
All models feature two channels for lighting and HVAC, as well as three logic channels, and provide all the advantages of the 230 V devices. With the day-night switching function, separate lux values and follow-up times can be set for day and night operation. Additionally, the integrated temperature sensor enables extended HVAC control. A version for the KNX Smart Home System LUXORliving is also available.
Protection class IP 54: perfect for wet rooms and outdoor areas
Protection class IP 54 means that all LUXA 103 presence detectors can be used in wet rooms and outdoors without any issues. For example, covered building entrances as well as covered terraces and balconies can be illuminated when presence is detected.
Easy programming via an app and remote control
It is particularly easy to program LUXA 103 presence detectors. The best way to do this is to use the theSenda B remote control in combination with the free theSenda Plug app. The parameters entered are sent by Bluetooth to the theSenda B remote control and from there are transmitted by infrared to the detector. This means all LUXA 103 devices can be configured and operated easily, quickly and safely.
Do you prefer a classic approach to programming? Then simply use the integrated potentiometers to configure the device. The theSenda Plug app for iOS and Android automatically displays all installed detectors. Flexible parameter setting means that parameter sets can be saved specifically according to the customer, be filed in parameter libraries or be established externally and imported. This means that identical parameters can be set quickly, even in larger properties with many detectors.

Simple installation and wiring
LUXA 103 presence detectors literally redefine simple installation and wiring. The connection terminals of the 230 V surface-mounted devices are mounted according to the plug-in base principle. The plug-in terminals of the ceiling/flush-mounted devices are integrated at a 45° angle. Both simplify installation and wiring considerably and thus reduce installation costs.
